Redwoods Treewalk
Suspended walkways through towering Californian redwoods; magical after dark with lanterns.
Why go
Walking among 70-metre redwoods — magical and slightly surreal — and the after-dark Nightlights version is genuinely special.
In Rotorua's Whakarewarewa Forest, the Redwoods Treewalk is a network of suspension bridges strung between towering Californian coast redwoods planted over a century ago. By day it's a gentle canopy stroll; after dark the 'Nightlights' version is lit by David Trubridge lantern installations and glows through the forest.
