Kea Point Track
Easy walk to a viewing deck facing the Mueller Glacier moraine and towering Mt Sefton.
Why go
A short, easy walk that puts you face to face with glaciers, moraine walls and the thundering ice cliffs of Mt Sefton.
Starting from White Horse Hill campground in Aoraki/Mt Cook National Park, this gentle, well-formed track winds through subalpine scrub and tussock to a viewing deck perched above the Mueller Glacier moraine. From the deck you look across the milky glacial lake to the hanging glaciers and ice cliffs of Mt Sefton and the Footstool, where avalanches sometimes rumble down. It's one of the easiest ways to get among the giants of the park.
